Your visit

What should I expect on arrival?

You will be required to queue on arrival, so please make sure to have your tickets ready, either printed or on an electronic device. Tickets will be checked prior to entry.
Visitors entering the Marble Arch Mound queuing area may be required to accept a non-invasive temperature check. A temperature of over 37.8ËšC will require a re-test. Repeated tests over this temperature will result in the denial of entry.
There will be on-site security screening process carried out prior to entry, so please do not bring any prohibited items such as:

  • objects with a sharp point or sharp edge capable of being used to cause serious injury, any weapons, fireworks, smoke bombs, glass bottles, flammable liquids or other articles, which may cause injury
  • illegal substances and/or legal highs are strictly prohibited
  • pets or animals of any nature except for guide dogs, hearing dogs and registered assistance dogs
  • the throwing of any article which could cause injury or annoyance

Visitors will be allowed to carry bags and small backpacks with them through the experience; However no large backpacks over the size of 22 x 15 x 8 inches (55 x 38 x 20 cm) or other large equipment or similar will be allowed to be taken inside for security reasons. All bags may be subject to a visual check by security in line with the search policy in place, which is as part of the terms and conditions of access.
Our staff will then direct you to the Mound.

I am a person with a disability, will there be access available to the top of the Mound?

There will be a lift available at the Mound to provide access to the top viewing platform. Staff will also be available to provide assistance.

What measures are in place to ensure it’s safe to visit?

The safety of our visitors is a key priority. We are continually monitoring and responding to the evolving government guidance.
Visitors are required to adhere to social distancing requirements (as required by law and, or, as advised by staff within the Marble Arch Mound Domain). Failure to adhere to these as directed by staff and signage will result in denial of entry or removal from the Marble Arch Mound Domain.
Some measures include:

  • Advanced booking and visiting time slots to manage visitor numbers
  • Queue Management program
  • Temperature Screening
  • Enhanced cleaning program
  • On-site security staff will help manage safety and security, including crowds and social distancing requirements
  • CCTV
  • First Aid Provision & Trained Staff
  • Fire Safety Systems

What is a fast track ticket?

A fast track ticket provides quicker entry to the Mound.

Why do I need to pre-book my time slot?

We’re limiting the number of visitors to help everyone follow social distancing guidelines. Pre-booked slots ensure that visits are spread out throughout the day and that the Mound does not exceed its safe capacity.

Can I book over the phone?

We are unable to take bookings over the phone, please book online.

Can I buy a ticket in person on the day?

If there are time slots available, you can book online on the day of your visit via themarblearchmound.com website. The date will be highlighted on the calendar and available time slots will show up once you click on the date you would like to visit.

I’ve changed my plans, can I swap my tickets/get a refund?

Unfortunately, tickets are non-refundable. No refunds or changes can be made for any ticket unless it falls into the following categories:

  • If you are unable to attend on the date booked due to the need to self-isolate or because you have or suspect you have COVID-19, you may contact See Tickets who will assist in rebooking for an alternative date and time subject to availability. Visitors should contact at least 24 hrs in advance of the date/time of the ticket the customer service page on https://marblearchmound.seetickets.com/customerservice. The exchange needs to be made for all of the tickets as part of the transaction and are subject to availability. If the customer chooses a date/time when the price is more expensive, they will need to pay the difference. No refunds or part-refunds will be made if they choose a time/date that is cheaper.
  • In the event of closure of the Mound itself, WCC will refund any visitor whose visit is cancelled, the cost of their ticket(s), but otherwise shall have no liability whatever, including no liability for travel expenses or any other out of pocket expenses, in respect of closure of part of all of the Mound.

How do I get my ticket?

You will receive a booking confirmation email. Just bring this with you either on your mobile device or as a print out. The email will contain a barcode that a member of our team will scan when you arrive.

Can you post me my booking confirmation?

No, booking confirmations are sent by email only. You can print out the confirmation or just bring it with you on your mobile device.

Why can’t I select the time slot that I want?

Timeslots are offered on a first-come, first-served basis so your chosen time slot may be fully booked. In order to keep everyone safe and to make sure everyone has a good viewing experience, we only have a limited capacity for each time slot and some are more popular than others.

I haven’t received my confirmation email

Can I book tickets for friends?

Yes as long as there is a confirmation of your e-ticket, either on mobile or printed, for each individual visiting.

Can I visit in a group?

Yes you can visit in a group. Large groups may have to ascend the Mound in smaller groups to provide a smoother journey up the stairs to the viewing platform. The capacity at the viewing platform is 25 visitors at any one time. Visitors are expected to spend a maximum of 10 minutes at the viewing deck.

How do I pay?

We accept Visa, Visa Debit, Mastercard and Paypal

Is there a booking fee?

Yes, a booking fee is included in the price of your ticket.

What is a concession?

A 20% discount is available for Westminster residents. In order to receive the Westminster resident discount, you need to be registered on the Westminster City Save scheme and can use the discount code provided on the Westminster City Save website when booking. You must bring your Westminster City Save card with you when visiting and show this on arrival in order to gain entry.
One adult carer per booking can visit for free when accompanying a visitor with a disability by selecting the ‘adult carer’ ticket

What ticket should I get for my child?

You don’t need to pay for under-fives but you do need to book a free ‘infant’ ticket for them as they will count within our capacity allowance. For those aged 5 to 16, please buy a child ticket.

I have a promotional offer voucher code. How do I use this to book online?

Enter your code on the same page as you choose your tickets, and your discount will be applied. Remember if you have a Westminster resident discount code then please bring your Westminster City Save card with you to present to staff on arrival.

Why are tickets priced differently on different days?

In order to help manage visitor numbers at the most popular times of the week. Our best value tickets are available mid-week from Monday-Thursday.

Will I get a refund if the site closes on the day I’ve booked for?

If we have to close the Mound for any reason, we will automatically refund your tickets. This will be processed by See Tickets and the full cost of the ticket will be refunded you don’t need to call us to request this. It may take up to 14 working days to reach your account.

What procedures do you have in place if there are further restrictions?

If we have to close the Marble Arch Mound because of further restrictions, you will receive an automatic refund on tickets you have purchased. There’s no need to call us. It may take up to 14 working days for the refund to reach your account.

I have been contacted by NHS test and trace and been told to self-isolate for 10 days. I have bought a ticket within that period, can I get a refund?

Please contact our online customer services via https://marblearchmound.seetickets.com/customerservice and they’ll be able to help you.

Can I just use my phone?

Yes you can show your e-ticket on your mobile device to gain entry.

I’ve booked a time slot but forgotten to bring my phone/it’s run out of battery, can I still get in?

We have the ability to check the sale of tickets by purchasers’ surname & postcode. Proof of identification may be requested for verification purposes.

On-Site Experience

Can I visit with more than 6 people?

This size of groups is dependent will be in line with Government guidance on Covid-19 measures at the time.

What does my ticket give me access to?

Your ticket will give you access the Marble Arch Mound and inner hall which includes an exhibition space, shop and café. Visitors can purchase goods at the shop and café.

Can I turn up on the day?

You will need to book your ticket before you arrive at the Mound. However, you can book online on the day of your visits provided there are still time slots available.

Will I be able to leave and re-enter the attraction?

Unfortunately visitors will not be allowed to leave and re-enter the attraction.

Does my timed ticket mean I have a limited time to visit?

Although there is no strict time limit on how long you can spend at the Mound we do estimate that it should take around 45 minutes to experience everything that the Marble Arch Mound has to offer. Visitors are encouraged to visit all areas and there may be instances where visitors may be requested to leave the viewing platform in order to allow others to be able to access the platform.

Can I arrive earlier than the time shown on my ticket?

We ask that you try to arrive at the Mound within 15 minutes of your ticket time, this way, if there is spare capacity we may be able to allow you through slightly earlier than your allocated time but this is subject to time and capacity on the day itself. You can arrive at any point within an hour of that time.

What if I miss my timeslot?

We’ll do our best to fit you in if we can, but if we’ve reached capacity for the time slot when you arrive, you will have to wait until the next available time slot.

I am a person with a disability, can I bring a helper?

Yes, you can bring a companion or helper for free. Please select a ‘Adult carer’ ticket when you book for your companion.

Is there a café or anywhere to get something to eat or drink?

Yes takeaway food and drink will be available at a café in the internal hall of the Mound.

Will there be toilets available?

Yes there will be toilets available including an accessible toilet that visitors can use.

Will there be baby changing facilities available?

There are no baby changing facilities available.

Access to the Mound

The path to the top of the Mound consists of 134 steps. A lift will be available for visitors with a disability who require access.

What else will be available at the Marble Arch Mound?

Within the heart of the Mound there will be a café where you can purchase food for takeaway, an exhibition hall and a shop where you can purchase Marble Arch Mound merchandise.

Pushchairs

Due to space constraints within the Marble Arch Mound Domain and in the interests of the safety and comfort of all visitors, we encourage you to leave your buggy at home. If you require a buggy, we advise a small foldable one which can be left at your own risk in our buggy park.

Bags

Visitors will be allowed to carry bags and small backpacks with them through the experience; however no large backpacks over the size of 22 x 15 x 8 inches (55 x 38 x 20 cm) or other large equipment or similar will be allowed to be taken inside for security reasons. All other bags and may be subject to a visual check by security in line with the search policy in place, which is as part of the terms and conditions of access.

Left Luggage

There will be no facilities available on-site where luggage can be stored, so please do no bring luggage with you for your visit.

Lost and Found Property

Staff will be available on-site to assist with any lost and found property.

Other

For the safety and comfort of all guests, suitable clothing, including a top and shoes, must be worn at all times whilst visiting. Open-toe shoes such as sandals and flip-flops may create a trip hazard as they can catch on stair nosings. Open back shoes may also slip from feet. Individuals who choose to wear such items do so fully at their own risk.

Do I have to wear a face covering?

  1. In line with UK Government guidance and applicable law, visitors are required to wear face coverings whilst visiting all indoor areas of the Marble Arch Mound Domain, including, but not limited to: the Hall, the accessible lift/elevator and the WCs as a condition of entry, except in the case of medical or other exemptions which are brought to the attention of staff members and necessary proof provided. We won’t be able to give you a face covering, so please come prepared so you don’t miss out
  2. Any guests experiencing symptoms in line with Covid-19 are requested not to attend the Marble Arch Mound Domain and follow applicable government and health guidance.

Are you taking part in the NHS test and trace scheme?

Yes, we are required by law to request and record the details of everyone aged 16 and above who visits the Marble Arch Mound. We require a name, phone number (or email, or address if a number isn’t available) and the time and date of the visit. For the majority of our visitors, this information is gathered during the booking process, but it can also be shared with us on site by using the NHS Covid-19 App and the NHS QR code on arrival. An alternative paper system is also available.
